we took violet to dallas this weekend to visit brian's family- we had so much fun! it was great for all 3 of us to get out of town for a few days, and i know val and aunt 'manda have been missing violet lately. for the drive, i decided to "lace" my milk with a single tylenol pm, and boy did it work beautifully! :) she did so perfectly the whole way there and back. i'm so proud of her! we had such a fun time and it was so good to be able to play with kepler! he was so sweet to violet, even though he thought it was 'totally overrated' to be quiet when she napped. :) i can't believe that sweet baby is going to be 3 this month!!
i took violet to her 6-week check-up today, and geez louise does she like her mama's milk! at her 1 week visit she was 6 lbs. 12 oz., and today she weighed 10 lbs. 5 oz.!! it seems like a LOT, but she's in the 50-75th percentile, so she's right on track. she's also grown 2 inches, to 21 1/2 inches. she's perfectly healthy otherwise, so it was a good visit. next time she'll get 3 shots, though, and i am SOOOO not looking forward to that!
