i can't believe she let me take these! :) she was such a good sport. i was hoping she'd stay asleep and let me mold her little arms and face to look so peaceful sleeping, but alas, that was not my luck. the moment i put her in the planter she woke up and started squirming everywhere, but it made for some hilariously adorable pictures!! :)

one forgotten detail...

i forgot to include this tidbit in my birth story:

when i asked brian how it felt to cut the umbilical cord, he responded, "it was like cutting through a long wonton." hmmmmmm, that was not an answer i would've expected! :) hilarious.
